4-Hour Annual Memory Care Training

Arizona’s memory care standards are evolving. In 2025, the Arizona Department of Health Services implemented a new state mandate requiring all memory-care assisted living facilities and their teams to complete specialized memory-care training. To continue their required education in 2026, all staff must complete annual memory-care training. Hospice of the Valley provides all the required training at no cost.

Who Needs the Annual Memory Care Training?

  • All employees or contractors who have completed the initial 8-hour training and are due for their annual renewal.
  • You may enroll in Hospice of the Valley’s annual renewal training regardless of where you completed your initial 8-hour training.

Annual Training Launch Date

Annual training launches July 7, 2026

If you have previously completed Hospice of the Valley’s Initial 8-hour Memory Care Training, please watch for an email on July 7th with registration information. If you have not completed Hospice of the Valley's Initial training, but would like to take the annual training, please contact us so we can send you an email.

Annual 4 Hour Memory Care Training Structure:

  • Complete 5 online modules in TalentLMS
  • Attend a 1-hour live Zoom session
  • Fully virtual
